how many of u??
how many of u love international foreign films. i am a really big fan of such movies and hence i want to know how many of u share my interest. my list is rather long but my favorite would be rouge or la double vie de veronique. i cant judge between these two.
Yes, I like foreign films, the most recent I have seen was “The life of others”. Often I end up watching German films, because my parents were German and have passed on some of that culture - and I don’t need subtitles 
.
Foreign films are not only interesting because their stories typically show a bit of the society they originated from. It’s also interesting to see how different the film-making is, an indirect statement about this culture. The film mentioned above for instance is slow-paced, with fairly minimal dialog, very subtle acting, realistic (if almost dreary) costumes and backdrops. You could really feel the painstakingly engineered and deliberate script. Somehow it felt really intense – may that be in spite or because of its low key.
It’s a true cultural experience.
