Lustrous Lipstick
Why do some stores more expensive than others?
I just want to know why certain stores are more expensive than others when they sell practically the same products, same types of products, even in some cases, the stores carry the same brand name. Why? Example: Wal-Mart: Revlon Gloss lipstick is only $ 5, but at some place like Walgreens, its grown to about $ 6.99. And CVS Pharmacy, similar products are even more expensive than Walgreens. it's not just makeup (in my experience), but it is far from food to clothing. what you give as your answer may be a fact or your own conclusion / (reasonable) opinion on why this is so. Wal Mart has billions of customers. When, as cvs is 25% of this. if Wal Mart can sell their stuff for less because they have enough customers who buy to make a profit, and lower prices they have, the more people will come buy it because it is cheaper. Think of it like that. lipstick costs $ 4 to buy the company (Wal-Mart and CVS), they have to sell to customers for a higher price so they can use it to pay people, pay for shipping, etc, so they have left so called profit. (Will go straight style geek here) and if Wal Mart sold 100,000 lipsticks in a week, where does that CVS sells 25 000. Wal-Mart discovered that at the end of the week, they have to make a profit of $ 200,000 out of lipstick. cvs and must make a profit of $ 75,000 off of lipstick. So to achieve their goals, Wal Mart to sell lipstick for $ 2 more then what they bought (im ignoring all the other crap, this is strictly nonprofit.) while CVS is selling them $ 3 more to achieve their profit goals. so that the larger the company, the cheaper they can sell their items. hope assistance.
