Intensity Controller
Programing PIC micro-controller in C.?
Hello, I do already know C but I don't know how to access the micro-controller's functionality. Does anyone can point to me a good straight forward article on the internet for free on how to access the micro-controller for someone who already knows C? (I rephrased just to be clear =D)
And BTW does the PIC micro-controller has an output pin that can be set to a value between 0 and 5 volts? I'd like to vary the intensity of a led connected in the output pin but I don't want to use PWM output. Since the least that I know of a Arduino, to program him in C you have to declare a pin as integer, so I supposed that it can vary from 0 to 255, am I right?

read the manual for the exact model of microcontroller that you are using.
im not aware of any PICs that have an analog output. you can simulate ione by controlling the amount of time the pin spends in a high or low state. if you dont want to use a PWM, you'll still have to use a timer channel to track time.
