How casual can I go with a homecoming dress?

I'm a jeans and a tee shirt kind of a girl. I'm looking for a homecoming dress that will not be too poufy or glitzy. Simple is good. I'm a freshman, but my friends are making me go and at this point it looks like I won't have a date. Please send pics and fast, b/c my friends have tried to get me into three glitter ridden dresses this week. HELP!
