Clinique Differen
Am I allowed to be very frustrated by my dermatologist?
Hey! I am a girl of 16 with "mild" acne (I think it's a lot, but yes) and very dry skin. On my first visit with my dermatologist, I told him that my skin was very dry, which was a bit sensative. She prescribed washing of benzoyl peroxide 4%, an antibiotic, and a gel (I forget which one. It as Attcyna or something). My skin dried up like a madman, and flaked so I stopped. The next visit I told him that my skin has peeled and flaked. This time she has prescribed the same antibiotic, a sulfur wash, differences, and the gel earlier. I did not even use the washing (I been using one with nothing in the made for sensative skin) and my face is red and peeling! I get really frustrated because I told him I had super dry skin, and the things she has prescribed me dry as hell! Oh, and yes, I am using moisturizer -> clinic for very dry skin.
Yes, I would be. Not all doctors are smart and nice to have the difficulty in listening and hearing patients. Can you see another dermatologist? I'd give up on it, or tell him your frustrations and ask the point of frying your skin painfully with acid. .
