How do you get lipstick out of your carpet? My dog got ahold of my lipstick, and it's all over my cream carpet
It is bright red. Help!
After you have scraped off any residue, be careful not to "push" it into the carpeting, take fingernail polish remover on a white rag and dab at it. Dont rub. Rinse the area with plain water when you are done. Dont put cleaning chemicals on it, this will only set the stain and even a professional can not get red out once it is set. If some red tint remains, you could go to the store and get a tannin remover. Tannin is the substance in red that makes it permanent.
